The best mother's day present I could have would be to be able to be with you on Mothers day! But since I cannot I just want to tell you how much I love and appreciate you. I know this Mother's day will be hard for you since it is the first one without grandma--we all miss her. Thanks for your example and your unconditional love. I learned this year that even though I am a mother of five, with two teenagers of my own--I still have not outgrown the need for my mom's help and advice--even though I may not always like the advice!! MEET HURLEY!

After living with a dog for the past 8 1/2 years--it just felt to
weird around here! We actually met Hurley two weeks before Maggie
died---I tried to talk Darren into letting us get him, but Darren said we were
not a two dog family--well then Maggie died--but someone else had already bought
Hurley. Last Saturday I found out the people who had bought him had brought him
back after the first time he had an accident on the floor. Do not ask me how you could have
Hurley in your house for a day and give him back--he has stolen all our hearts (even
Darrens). He has not had any accidents yet--I think he knew what he had to do to get out
of that other house-to make it to his real home--with us!! We are all in love with our little
Hurley Burley!!!

He Has His Own Chair! (or should I say THRONE?)

His previous owner said he was used to lounging around in
one of these child size folding chairs! They were right--he felt right at
home!!

Spring Break 2008!

We met Darren's brothers, Doug and Daniel, and their families in Green River. We spent a day in Goblin Valley and a Day in Arches. We swam and hiked and ate and laughed--we had a great vacation! We were quite a sight on any hiking trail--all nineteen of us!! It is a small miracle we had no accidents--there was a lot of kids, climbing on a lot of cliffs!!! Thank heaven for gaurdian angels!! The only bad part of the vacation was saying good-bye---Thanks for all the memories guys--lets get planning our next vacation--maybe without children!!!??!!

I DID IT-I DID IT!!

After two failed attempts at making bread, I had great
success today! I think I was trying to keep my mind off of Maggie!
Now when I say making bread--I mean making bread--I ground the
wheat and everything!! Come on over and try a piece!!!!

We Will Miss You Maggie!!

On Tuesday, we unexpectedly lost our Maggie. She has been with
us for the past eight years, and has definitly become a beloved member of our family.
We will miss a lot of things about Maggie--her running to greet us when we come home, her
chasing all the neighborhood dogs who are bigger than her (and who use all four of their legs!),
her joining us for family prayer!! Thanks for all of the memories, Maggie, we will miss you!

SHE MADE IT!!!!

We found out this morning!!!  She felt great about her try-outs, and was even able to sleep last night because she was so tired from all the practicing!!    Way to Go Cassidy!!!  Now she needs to get babysitting to help pay for all of this fun!!!!

It's Cheer Try-Out Time Again!

Today is cheer try-outs!! (Can you say drama and stress?!)
I think Cassidy is a little more nervous than last year, because she knows
how much fun she will be missing if she does not make it!!! Everyone
say a little prayer for our girl--results will be posted tomarrow morning sometime!!

Watching Conference!!

We had Troy and Jodi over for Sunday Morning Conference.
I guess we filled them up to much with yummy cinnamon rolls--
they just couldn't keep their eyes open!!!

Lovin' on Noah!!

I am trying to get alot of hugs and kisses in before this
Sunday. Troy and Jodi are moving to Texas for the summer,
and for some reason they are insisting on taking Noah with them!!

Noah's Playhouse!!

This conference weekend Darren listened to conference all day Saturday--while he
worked on the basement! We cut a window in our closet under the stairs, so Noah will
have a fun place to play when he comes to visit Aunt Jamie!!!

Making Pasta!

For family home evening we had one of my good friends from
work come over and show us how to make homeade pasta!! She
went on her mission to Italy--so she knows her stuff! She made
marinara sauce and mac and cheese--just the way she learned how in
Italy!! It was a fun and yummy night!!

FINISHING THE BASEMENT!!!

We are finally working on the third and final phase of finishing the basement!!
We had a fireplace installed--Darren is all done framing--it really seems to be going fast
this time!! The holes on either side of the fireplace will be built in bookcases. We have big plans for our
family/theater room. The kids all want Darren to have it done by their birthdays so they can have
friends over to watch movies on the big screen t.v. they want us to get----We'll see!!!!

Story Time With Aunt Jamie!

Noah and I got to spend the day together. We had so much fun!!

For Christmas Mary got tickets to the Hannah Montana 3-D Concert
movie. When it came time to decide who to take with her--she thought of
the biggest Hannah Montana fan we know--Mary's cousin Addison!

It was a GIRLS NIGHT OUT!!!
