This is where I started my eternal family!

Who would have thought that 19 years later I would be

going back to that area to listen

to my oldest son speak in his

student ward?

Life goes by so fast--

I am so proud of my life-and

today as I sat listening to my son

bear his testimony about the

power of prayer

I was so proud of him I thought I

might burst-and I caught

a glimpse of what Heaven

will be like-

life does not always feel this

way, so today I am going to

revel in the happiness I have been blessed with!

A trip to Manti gave us the

opportunity to meet Alex's college friends!

Of course a trip to Manti is not complete

without eating at Fat Jack's Pizza--

believe it or not they changed the name-

but I will forever call it Fat Jacks!

We have never been thanked so many

times for feeding someone!

What a blessing to have good friends who

encourage good choices-

Friends like that deserve to be

treated to dinner every once and a while!

Are they cute or what?

Cassidy had her first "official" date tonight!

Of course, her first date will always be the one

her older brother took her on--

but this was her first date with

someone she is not related to!!

Josh took her to Olive Garden (yummy!)

where she made sure she ordered

something with white sauce-

she is notorious for getting food ALL OVER
her face when she eats!

Then they went bowling where

her date was nice enough to bowl one

game right handed (he's left handed!).

Josh still won!

She was all smiles this morning!

As a mom, I am so grateful for young men who

open doors for their dates,

and for the wonderful moms

who taught them to be

so respectful!

that Cassidy went to in Vegas last week?

that our Westlake Cheer squad won!!

They won NATIONALS!!

I am so proud of all our cheerleaders.

They are hardworking and

dedicated athletes. (even the one's on crutches!)

I made some peanut butter

rice krispie treats covered in

chocolate today!

It made me miss my Grandma Clark.

She always made them at Christmastime.

My first Christmas away from home,

I was feeling incredibly home sick, and

I made some of her treats, hoping that

in the process I would make myself

feel happy. I did not work.

But, then I took the treats over to my new family-

The Forsyth's-

everyone loved them.

That made me feel better!

I miss my grandma and I miss

mom and dad Forsyth--

if only rice krispie treats would help!

black hair is Hope! They are the

kind of friends you can

not see for years, and pick

up right where you left off.

I love them. I love they way

they make me feel so

good about myself. I love the way we

laugh when we are together.

I love the way they live what

they believe!

I am a better person for having both

of them in my life!

We checked the kiddo's out from school

to go have some family fun!

some rock wall climbing

ended up being more fun than a math test!

a corn field--

the wind picked up today and the whole corn

field is now stuck on this fence!!

I love that you can see my shadow in the

She will not be performing,

We celebrated Valentines as a family

by going out to pizza at my new favorite

pizza joint-"Sweet Home Chicago"!

Their thin crust pizza is very delightful!

Then, inspired by our weekend of three

earthquakes, we made sure our

72 hour kits were loaded with

survival essentials!

house that whoever eats the last piece of cake

has to clean the pan.

Lately, this is what ends up

sitting on the counter for a week.

A stale piece of cake and an

even harder to clean pan!

the BYU football collage comes down!

Darren did the honors this year.

So we bid farewell to a season of

learning and adjusting.

when the Cougars open

Everyday Dustin gets a score from

his job-coach! A #1 is a really bad day-

he has never received a #1!

A #5 is a really great day!

Today Dustin received a 5!

I told him when he left for work this morning

I had a feeling it was going to be

a #5 day!

To celebrate Dustin's great accomplishment

I bought him a hot fudge sundae!

I have a feeling we are going to

see a lot of 5's in our future!

The twins were lucky enough to get the

only sixth grade teacher that

makes you do the science fair!

Saying good-bye to elementary

school is going to be really

easy for me!

She's got a sprained ankle-

and a broken heart!

Cassidy was the hero at her cheer

competition on Saturday when she

bravely tried to catch a girl all by

herself! She saved the girl,

but twisted her ankle!

The real "kicker" to all this is that

national's are only ten days away!

An eternal perspective is keeping

a smile on her face-

while the rest of us pray for a miracle

that will let her heal in

time to compete!

for the first time- it was absolutely lovely!

Started a new book- The Secret Life of Bees-

A lazy Saturday afternoon found us

at one of the happiest places on earth!

The Marriot Center at BYU!

New t-shirts, cougar-tails, and

a BYU win gave us

a whole lot to smile about!

A sick day!

I spent today in bed and the bathroom! (yuck)

Reading, blogging, e-mailing, watching a movie

and sleeping--

to bad my whopper of a headache and

stomachache kept me from enjoying

it to much!

I was busy doing parent teacher

conferences, so Darren took over POTD duties!

He was in charge of a youth activity last night, and

it looks like a good time was had by all as

they "just danced" it out!!

Yes, that is my boy Connor--he's

got moves!

It was sooooo cold this morning--

the wind was howling and the snow was

blowing.

This is how my children went to the bus stop.

I want it documented that they

both do have nice heavy winter coats,

and, yes, Zach owns pants-

some battles just are not worth fighting-

and I am sure Zach was plenty warm

with that nice, heavy-duty

scarf!
